Chili Lime Grilled Wahoo

Firm, meaty with a “halibut” like flavor.

  1. Wahoo steaks
  2. Fish basket for grilling
  3. 4 oz butter
  4. 2 oz olive oil
  5. 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  6. 1/2 chili pepper
  7. 1/2 tsp cilantro
  8. 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  9. salt and pepper
  10. fresh limes for squeezing onto the meat


  1. Cut the Wahoo meat cross grain into semi-thick steaks.
  2. Place the steaks into the fish grilling basket.
  3. Melt the butter and add the olive oil and seasonings and mix together. Baste the fish on both sides with the mixture.
  4. When finished grilling the fish, there should be beautiful char marks from the basket on the fish, and extra basting for extra flavor is recommended.
  5. Squeeze the limes over the fish before serving.
